City of L.A. Stormwater Management Agency

• Wrote PSAs, articles and collateral materials for multi-cultural audiences on simple steps to prevent neighborhood and ocean pollution.
• Facilitated relationships between the Stormwater Agency, the L.A. Department of Transportation, and L.A. Animal Services for joint public education outreach.
• Participated in the planning and implementation of a community spring clean-up and public education fiesta in L.A. Council District 14 (attended by the council member).
• Arranged for (and wrote) commendations from the L.A. City Council and the L.A. County Board of Supervisors for TV news anchors and other participants in media events promoting pollution prevention.
• Secured a KABC radio interview for the Stormwater Agency manager.
• Facilitated participation in eco-theater and beach cleanups for elementary schools.

• Developed community education and government outreach strategies for protecting water quality at a west valley reservoir.

Generation Earth Environmental Education for Middle and High School Kids

• Wrote winning proposal to client; designed and implemented strategic outreach plan.
• Brokered relationship between Generation Earth and the Watts Summer Games.
• Found sponsors to give prizes for student participation in an Earth Day activity.​

TreePeople (L.A.’s Oldest and Largest Environmental Education Organization

• Served as final project manager during the first phase of a visionary venture to retrofit all land uses in L.A. to become environmentally and economically sustainable.

• Served as liaison with sponsoring agencies at all levels of government and wrote detailed final reports to them.
• Helped design media event for unveiling the project demonstration site, wrote press release and pitched media—resulting in extensive local and national coverage.
• Provided writing/editing and production support for project brochure and planbook and ‘Gave the project a voice,” according to TreePeople founder/President, Andy Lipkis.
• Transformed tape transcripts into publishable articles for Mr. Lipkis of TreePeople
